Making retrofit-bar more sustainable

Pi Development was approached by Wassenburg Medical to design a washbasin inlay. These inlays had to be resistant to the heavy chemicals and are intended as an update for the WD440 endoscope disinfection machines from Wassenburg. Pi Development has helped research solutions, develop concepts and design the necessary tools for production.

Challenges

The main challenges with this washbasin update were that it should not affect the function and certification of the machine. In addition, there was also no base model, which meant that the shape of the original basin had to be replicated. This provided some frameworks when designing the inlay.

Cooperation

During the different phases of the project, different people worked on the project. A consistent working method with weekly reports and meetings made the transfer between people and phases efficient and guaranteed a consistent level of quality.
