Decentralization

As Pi development we received a heat exchanger for which a decentralized unit had to be developed for the recovery of heat. These WTW (Warmte Back Win) units normally hung in the attic and served the entire house. However, this HRV unit was specifically intended for energy savings in small spaces such as offices or workplaces.

Challenges

Apart from the exchanger unit, the only known thing was that it needed a sheet metal housing (in connection with Brink's core business), the rest was a question mark. As a result, things like architecture, determining parts and purchasing have been a big part of the project. The best result is being able to deliver the first “out of mold” products for the VSK trade fair within the short period of time from August to February.

Cooperation

Weekly consultations about technical progress ensured intensive cooperation between Pi and Brink. When questions were asked at the end of the week, there was an immediate answer every Monday after lunch, speed and efficiency sum up this collaboration well. It was very striking that all stakeholders within brink actively participated in making this work. Without this input and energetic attitude from Brink, we would never have been able to achieve the final result on time.
